Figures show there’s been an increase in the number of sexually transmitted infections being diagnosed in Kent.
Just over 5,200 people in the county were found to have an STI last year – over 400 more than in 2017.
Some health experts fear an increase in the use of dating apps could be linked to the rise in figures.

The family of a German student who was the victim of what some fear was a racist attack in Canterbury say they’re praying for him to wake up from his coma…17 year-old Daniel Ezzedine, who’s of Lebanese descent, is in a critical condition in hospital after being assaulted in Whitefriars Street a week ago.Last night hundreds of people marched through the city to show support for him.

It’s a topic that’s been dividing opinion since it started to make headlines in recent years – now a Kent company is going to start selling sweets containing a substance extracted from cannabis plants.
You’ve probably heard of CBD because it’s what some parents of children with severe epilepsy have been campaigning for to reduce their seizures.
Now the two men who own and run the shop Sweet Sol in Herne Bay say they’re planning to move to Whitstable next year and supply their products containing the substance to other shops in the county.

New research shows thousands of children in Kent are going to school every day without having any breakfast.
According to Childwise, one in ten 7-15-year-olds here in the south east are starting the day on an empty stomach.
There are concerns that leads to them missing out on the equivalent of six hours of lesson time a week, because they can’t focus properly on learning.
