The number of race hate crimes against children in Kent has reached a three-year high.Police in the county recorded 302 offences in 2017-2018 – that’s an average of almost six a week.The number’s nearly trebled from 103 the previous year and includes crimes against babies and toddlers.

A baby found abandoned outside a Kent hospital is a little boy who was just a few hours old at the time.
He was found near the main entrance of Dartford’s Darent Valley in the early hours of Friday.
